CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Eastside College Prep picked up its first Central Coast Section basketball title, defeating Fremont Christian 45-37.The Panthers went on an 8-0 run to seal the win. Kiazi Malonga started the run by sinking a pair of free throws.

Calvin Brown led Eastside with 16 points. Dontae Smith added 10 points to go with his 12 reboundsJustin Salinas scored 11 points to pace Fremont Christian.

Pinewood started the game with a 10-1 run. Fremont Christian rallied, but could never get even with the Panthers. The closest they would get would be to two points (35-33) with 3:25 left in the game. But that’s when the Panthers went on the 8-0 run.
