CCS 2002-2003 REALIGNMENT PROCESS
The CCS Realignment Committee consisting of the CCS Vice President and the Chairpersons from each of the three Conferences is as follows:

| Each Conference will have it's own meetings and committees to discuss league membership of it's conference members. This process begins in January 2003. CONFERENCE MEMBERSHIP PROCESS |

The first step in the Realignment Process is to address the Conference membership of schools. League realignment of schools within one of our three conferences was addressed this Fall with no changes proposed.

This is a brief version of the process--for complete details make sure you review the CCS Bylaws, Article IV League Realignment.
Step 1
Proposals for any change in conference membership were solicited from
CCS member schools. See above for action
Step 2
CCS Realignment Committee met to review proposals submitted and to make a
tentative recommendation for Conference placement. No proposals
received. See above for action taken
Step 3
CCS Realignment Committee announces tentative conference placement and notifies
school of time, date and place for open hearings on same. No changes
recommended. See above for notification.
Step 4
CCS Realignment Committee holds open hearings on Conference Placement. None
held--no changes proposed.
Step 5
CCS Realignment Committee makes final recommendation on conference placement.

Step 6
CCS Executive Committee adopts final conference placement at their December
meeting. January 17, 2003

Step 7
Appeals of Executive Committee's conference placement can be made by any school
by submitting a written appeal no later than January 25 for consideration by the
CCS Board of Managers on January 30, 2003. (Los Gatos Lodge, 9:00 am) No
appeals received.

League Alignment of schools within each conference begins after the first of the year. |
| Each Conference has a Realignment Sub Committee that will meet and discuss proposals submitted to them for review or generate their own proposals for consideration. The Conference realignment meetings are chaired by the Conference Chairmen as listed above and a representative from every league in their conference as chosen by the leagues. Briefly the steps that will be followed are outlined below. To insure complete understanding of the process, please review CCS Bylaws Article IV, Realignment. |
Step 1
Schools and leagues will be requested to forward any proposals for league
realignment to the Conference Realignment Sub Committee. (Click below for
Names of Conference Realignment Committees, dates & times of scheduled
meetings--
Step 2
Conference Realignment Sub Committee's will meet to discuss and review proposals
forwarded and/or generate their own proposals. (click on conference name
above to access meeting times/dates/places as well as proposals received and
action taken)
Step 3
The Conference Realignment Sub Committee will make a recommendation to the
members of their conference.

Step 4
The Conference will meet and will vote on the proposed league realignment (one
vote per school).

Step 5
CCS Executive Committee approves or returns decision of Conference to them for
reconsideration.
Step 6
Those unhappy with the outcome of the Conference Realignment or the Executive
Committee action may appeal to the CCS Board of Managers the following October.
