PRACTICE AT CHAMPIONSHIP SITE(S):
| No arrangements for practice at competition sites are
allowed by the CCS once the site of the Tournament has been announced. See the "General Tournament Information" Section of the CCS Tournament Guide for the specific policy. Schools found in
violation of this rule may be barred from further participation in the Section
Play-offs. |

GAME BALL:
| The official Tournament ball is SPALDING.
For ALL Rounds, SPALDING Volleyballs will be
used exclusively in all contests. |
|
SPORTSMANSHIP:
| It is expected that all participants and coaches will perform with
great enthusiasm in CCS Championship competition. However, it is essential that such competition be completely
within the bounds of GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. Therefore, any player or coach
who is disqualified from a Play-off contest for flagrant misconduct or unsportsmanlike
behavior shall be disqualified from all remaining contests in that sport that
season, including
CIF NOR-CAL REGIONALS and/or CIF STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. |
|
ROOTING SECTION:
- ALL spirit-squad members must be in uniform to be admitted without charge.
Spirit-squads may only perform in areas which do not obstruct play.
- NO ARTIFICIAL NOISE-MAKERS will be permitted inside the gymnasium
at any CCS Volleyball match. The improper use of any devices by supporters of a team will
result in cessation of the match until the device is removed.
- Only POSITIVE
banners/posters will be allowed. No reference to opponents, either directly or indirectly,
shall be made, except in a positive manner.
|
|
FACULTY SUPERVISION:
| Adequate student/spectator supervision MUST be
provided by each school participating in the Tournament. School
administrators/faculty who attend the contest in this capacity should introduce themselves
to the CCS Site Director, and tell him/her where they will be located throughout the
contest in case their assistance is needed. It is the responsibility of the school
supervisory personnel to prevent and correct any inappropriate behavior of their schools'
students or spectators. |
|
CHAMPIONSHIP T-SHIRTS:
| The Championship
T-Shirts Order Form is located in the APPENDIX of the CCS Tournament
Guide. T-Shirts will be available at the seeding meeting for $12.00 each; orders can also be
faxed/mailed to the
CCS office. |
|
REPORTING RESULTS:
| It is the responsibility of all teams to report their
results in a timely fashion to the media in their area, as well as to CCS at
408-224-2994, ext. 20. Contest results will be posted on the CCS website [www.cifccs.org] as soon as possible. |
|
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES:
| The CIF-Central Coast Section is well aware that
many other school and non-school activities (AP tests, SAT/ACT tests, proms, plays,
holidays, senior trips, religious days, etc.) may occur during CCS Play-offs. The
CCS tries to avoid as many conflicts as possible; however, with so many activities
available for today's student-athlete, it is not reasonable to assume that all such
activities can be taken into account, and thus, CCS Play-off events will go on as
originally scheduled. Participants and coaches are therefore expected to plan in
advance for such possible scheduling conflicts and make those difficult choices as to
which events will take precedence for that individual. Generally, although it is
ultimately the personal choice of the student-athlete and/or his/her parent(s), an
academic activity should take precedence over an extra-curricular event. |
