PRACTICE AT CHAMPIONSHIP SITE:
No arrangements for practice at the competition site are allowed by the CCS once the site of the Tournament has been announced.  See the "General Tournament Information" Section of the CCS Tournament Guide for the specific policy.  Schools found in violation of this rule may be barred from further participation in the Section Play-offs.

RULES:
Current USA Badminton Rules will be used, with the exception that all matches will be determined by the best two(2)-out-of-three(3) games to 15.  Also, this will be a full double-elimination Tournament.

REST PERIOD:
The Tournament Administration will attempt, whenever possible, to allow a minimum rest period of 15 minutes between Singles matches, and 10 minutes between Doubles.

SPORTSMANSHIP:
A.    Each Principal  is required by the CCS Board of Managers to meet with any team/individual from his/her school
participating in the CCS Tournament to review CCS Sportsmanship Information.
(See APPENDIX for REQUIRED PRE-GAME SPORTSMANSHIP MEETING INFORMATION SHEET)
B.    "Applause" and "positive verbal comments" are allowed after a player has made a good shot.  It should be a
hand-clapping type of applause -- not verbal applause.
C.    It is expected that all participants in the Tournament will wear acceptable attire, with team uniforms preferred.
Bathing suits, cut-off's, tank-tops, T-shirts with sleeves cut-off, "dew-rags," etc. are not allowed.  The
Tournament Director has sole authority on any questions regarding acceptable attire.
D.    Any player or coach who is ejected from a CCS Tournament contest for FLAGRANT MISCONDUCT or
UNSPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOR will be disqualified from all remaining contests in that sport that season.

FACULTY SUPERVISION:
Adequate student/spectator supervision MUST be provided by each school participating in the Tournament.  School administrators/faculty who attend the contest in this capacity, shall introduce themselves to the CCS Site Director and tell him/her where they will be located throughout the contest in case their assistance is needed.  It is the responsibility of the school supervisory personnel to prevent and correct any inappropriate behavior of their students and spectators.

T-SHIRTS / HATS / PROGRAMS:
Official CCS T-Shirts will be available for $12; CCS Hats/Visors for $10.  There will be no programs for sale at this Tournament.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES:
The CIF-Central Coast Section is well aware that many other school and non-school activities (AP tests, SAT/ACT tests, proms, plays, holidays, senior trips, religious days, etc.) may occur during CCS Play-offs.  The CCS tries to avoid as many conflicts as possible; however, with so many activities available for today's student-athlete, it is not reasonable to assume that all such activities can be taken into account, and thus, CCS Play-off events will go on as originally scheduled.  Participants and coaches are therefore expected to plan in advance for such possible scheduling conflicts and make those difficult choices as to which events will take precedence for that individual.  Generally, although it is ultimately the personal choice of the student-athlete and/or his/her parent (s), an academic activity should take precedence over an extra-curricular event.
