CCS STAFF LIAISON:  Howard Jensen, Events Coordinator

SEEDING MEETING:  SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 06, 1999, 9:00 AM @ CCS Office
(Team Tournament seeding first, followed by Individual Tournament seeding.)

RULES: USTA 1999 Rules will be used.

SPORTSMANSHIP:
It is expected that all players and coaches will perform with great enthusiasm in CCS Championship competition. These events should capture the emotions of participants, fans and coaches. Performance in the highly-charged emotional climate of Play-offs is another step in the educational process for our student-athletes. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

However, it is essential that such competition be completely within the bounds of GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP. We insist on that. Therefore, any player or coach who is disqualified from a Play-off contest for flagrant misconduct or unsportsmanlike behavior shall be disqualified from all remaining contests in that sport.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
In case of rain, matches will be held the next available date, with the exception of Sunday (i.e., Thursday instead of Wednesday, etc.) until completion of play. If Team competition is delayed, then the Individual Tournament will be delayed until conclusion of the team tournament.

T-SHIRT ORDERS:
The T-Shirt Order Form for Teams to pre-order Championship T-shirts is located in the APPENDIX of the CCS Tournament Guide.  T-shirts will be available at the Seeding Meeting; team orders can also be mailed to the CCS Office.

EVALUATION MEETING: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1999, 5:00 PM @ CCS Office

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS AND COACHES:
The CIF-Central Coast Section is well aware that many other school and non-school activities (AP tests, SAT/ACT tests, proms, plays, holidays, senior trips, religious days, etc.) may occur during CCS Play-offs.  The CCS tries to avoid as many conflicts as possible; however, with so many activities available for today's student-athlete, it is not reasonable to assume that all such activities can be taken into account, and thus, CCS Play-off events will go on as originally scheduled.  Participants and coaches are therefore expected to plan in advance for such possible scheduling conflicts and make those difficult choices as to which events will take precedence for that individual.  Generally, although it is ultimately the personal choice of the student-athlete and/or his/her parent(s), an academic activity should take precedence over an extra-curricular event.
